Meet the Artist
I am a documentary photographer based in Costa Rica, working primarily across Central America. My practice is rooted in long-term projects developed through sustained presence, careful observation, and close collaboration with communities.
With a background in architecture, my work is informed by an interest in culture, territory, and sustainable development, and in how time, use, and human intervention shape and transform landscapes. I focus on environmental processes, conservation, and the social dynamics that emerge at the intersection of land, culture, policy, and everyday life.
I am the founder of the Museo Indígena Contemporáneo, an independent cultural project dedicated to visual research, education, and the documentation of Indigenous cultures and territories. The project integrates contemporary technologies as tools for preservation, interpretation, and cultural continuity, while supporting long-term relationships with the communities involved.
